The folks at indie outfit Fearmakers Studios informed us of their effort Dismal, directed by New York-based helmer Gary King. Lensing wrapped last month in Georgia with actors Lydia Chandler, Tim Morris, Bill Oberst, Jr., Meagan Reedy, Jade Arnold, Capel Kane and Will Triplett traipsing about the swamp and fending off cannibals.

Dana can’t afford to fail, so she goes on a field trip with other college students to the Great Dismal Swamp. While Dana and her tasty friends are looking for extra credit, terrifying swamp cannibals are looking for dinner. Eat or be eaten! Horror is served hot and steamy with a side order of sick in DISMAL. This feature length project is sure to delight horror fans and is destined to become an instant classic.
Bo Buckley penned the script and co-produced this mash-up of Wrong Turn, Hatchet and (I spy) elements of Severance with Christopher Cook and Justin Soponis. If Dismal lands distro, we’ll keep you posted!
