Based on a novel by John Connolly
John Stockwell (Turistas) is set to helm Sanctuary for Lionsgate and Sobini Films. Scripted by Stephen Susco – and adapted from John Connolly’s novel Bad Men – the title represents an island off the coast of Maine where the protagonist travels to. This haven, as it turns out, is plagued with a history of bloodshed in the 17th century. Susco, writer of The Grudge films, will executive produce.
The New Daughter, an upcoming supernaturla thriller starring Kevin Costner, is another film based on a Connelly story.
