Find out in the new poster, trailer
The Weinstein Company swooped in fast to acquire Dorothy Mills, Agnès Merlet’s French thriller. Now you can see why in a new trailer recently uploaded by Mars Distribution here. Take a gander at the international one-sheet and a handful of stills while you’re over there.
The official synopsis, which has changed since we read about it at the AFM last year, goes like this: Dorothy Mills is suspected of assaulting a young baby in a contemporary but timeless rural village. She is visited by psychiatrist and outsider, Jane, who discovers that Dorothy may not be responsible for her actions and may be possessed by a horrifying and malevolent force. As she helps Dorothy, Jane is confronted with her own past tragedies – and starts to unravel another terrible secret hidden by some of the local villagers.
No whispers of when TWC will release the film in the U.S. yet.
