Sony books summer slot for Raimi flick
Ghost House Pictures will release Sam Raimi’s Drag Me to Hell on May 29, 2009. The move shows distributor Universal’s confidence in Raimi’s PG-13 return to horror, and just maybe it’s hoping to bank on the time frame given The Strangers‘ success this year. That film was released on the May 29th weekend.
Hell, written by Raimi and his brother Ivan, stars Alison Lohman, Justin Long, Lorna Raver and Jessica Lucas. Lohman plays a gal trying to shake a curse put upon her by an old woman. Supernatural kookiness ensues.
