One more October without Dougherty’s film?
The newly reborn Moviehole caught up to Michael Dougherty about his feature debut Trick ‘r Treat to discuss its release. And, according to the writer-director, “There’s interest from another distributor so negotiations have begun. Keep your severed fingers crossed!”
If you recall, in April we reported Warner Bros. may have dropped the film entirely after moving it out of its 2007 October debut. Since then, we’ve repeatedly attempt to follow up on any leads that may point to some solid news about the film. We’ve been kicked around with a variety of rumors from Lionsgate showing interest to Warner Bros. still considering giving it a release.
Hopefully, Trick will find a home soon.
