It’s going to be a 3-D summer
2009 is already proving to be an in-your-face year, literally, with three major 3-D horror releases on the way. Two of them arriving next summer. Dimension sets Piranha 3-D loose in theaters on July 24, 2009. ShockTillYouDrop.com has now learned New Line will release Final Destination 4 (read our set visit) on August 14, 2009. We’ll be curious to see if the Weinstein brothers – notorious for playing with release dates, especially in the face of competition – will now give Alex Aja’s Piranha a nudge to a new date.
And if you’re curious about the third 3-D fright flick due next year, it’s Lionsgate’s My Bloody Valentine with Jensen Ackles (Supernatural). It hits theaters on January 23rd.
