Army of the Dead Eyes Fall Start

Snyders drop brief update

In the hustle and bustle of Tuesday night’s Saturn Awards ceremony in Universal City, California, ShockTillYouDrop.com managed to squeeze a mini-update from Zack and Deborah Snyder (300) regarding Army of the Dead which the pair are producing.

With director Matthijs van Heijningen locked in place, Zack, who is busy in post-production on Watchmen, hopes shooting will begin, “Really soon. The studio [Warner Bros.] seems to love our director and love our script. The movie, for me, is all about spectacle and being crazy, so it’s just trying to find a balance with the studio.”

Deborah adds, “We’re hoping to start this fall.”

Written by Joby Harold (interview), Army of the Dead is set in a quarantined Las Vegas in the not-too-distant future and focuses on a father who tries to save his daughter from imminent death in a zombie-infested world.
