Dates Set for Cronenberg’s Fly Opera

The curtain rises on Seth Brundle hideous metamorphosis from man to insect in the L.A. Opera‘s rendition of The Fly, the long-mooted opera directed by David Cronenberg. It will have a world premiere on July 2nd before arriving in the States for a run throughout September at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion (135 N. Grand Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90012). The L.A. Opera has announced the following play dates:

Opening Performance: Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 2:00pm



Evening Performances: September 10, 13, 16 and 20 at 7:30pm



Matinee Performance: September 27 at 2:00pm

Ticket prices range between $20 to $250. Théâtre du Châtelet co-produced this interpretation of the ’86 film which reunites Cronenberg, composer Howard Shore, costume designer Denis Cronenberg and Academy Award-winning makeup artist Stephan L. Dupuis.
