Loose remake of Clark’s Deathdream
John Stalberg Jr. and Stephen Susco’s Zero Dark Thirty is facing a tumultuous journey to the screen. Originally, the pic – a loose adaptation of Bob Clark’s Deathdream – was set up at Odd Lot Entertainment; the financial back fell through, however. Variety reports Michael Douglas’ production shingle Further Films (Swimfan) has resurrected this project which tells of a soldier who returns home from Iraq less than human. Stalberg is directing from a script by Susco.
