The animated horror-thriller based on Zombie’s comic
Rob Zombie has announced that Tura Satana from 1965’s Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! has reprised her legendary role as Varla in The Haunted World of El Superbeasto. The scene involves Varla and Otis from Zombie’s own The Devil’s Rejects.
The animated horror-thriller, co-directed by Mr. Lawrence and Carey Yost, features the voice talents of Tom Papa as the titular hero/masked wrestler, Superbeasto, Paul Giamatti, Rosario Dawson, Sheri Moon Zombie, Danny Trejo, Sid Haig, Brian Posehn and more.
“Superbeasto” sprung from the pages of Spookshow International, a short-lived comic book series by Zombie that was recently collected into a graphic novel by Image.
