Distributors of Old Boy and more
Nearly four years after sinking its teeth into the States, Tartan Films USA – and its DVD branch, Tartan Video USA – is facing financial woes.
According to Variety it has prompted Vin Roberti’s Palisades Media Asset Fund to announce “a public foreclosure sale of all the assets belonging to Tartan Films USA and Tartan Video USA”. That includes the 101 titles in Tartan’s library including Old Boy, R-Point, Lady Vengeance and numerous horror fare from Asia like Whispering Corridors and Phone.
Tartan Films USA was set up in 2004 by Hamish McAlpine, the head of the U.K.’s Tartan Films.
