10 Little Indians-style slasher series
Harper’s Island, a new television series with a horrific bent to it, is coming to CBS with Jeffrey Bell serving as the showrunner. His credits include The X-Files, Angel and Alias. Bell’s duties will find him executive producing the show as well and writing the first episode.
Island began as a pilot penned by Ari Schlossberg (Hide and Seek and directed by Jon Turteltaub (National Treasure). The premise drops a group of friends on an island off the coast of Seattle where they are gathering for a wedding. Their stay, however, takes a sour turn when a killer starts picking them off.
From the pilot episode, only actress Elaine Cassidy (The Others) will make the cut when Island begins principal photography.
