Waz retitled, Genius Springs for Trap
Genius Products will release Michael Feifer’s Boston Strangler: The Untold Story on DVD July 22nd and we’ve got the first stills to share with you (click on the preview image below for a full gallery). David Faustino is Albert De Salvo is the titular lunatic who confesses to having killed dozens of women and Andrew Divoff plays the detective who believes De Salvo was not alone.
In related horror DVD news, Genius has slated a July 15th bow for Steel Trap from director/co-writer Luis Cámara. The film follows five supposed “celebs” who are invited to a posh party on New Year’s Eve and ultimately fall victim to a madman’s trap.
And remember Waz, the police/serial killer thriller we’ve been keeping you up to date on? (See our last story here.) Well, distributors Genius Products have decided to slap a new moniker on the film: The Killing Gene, obviously thinking “Waz” must be too hard of a sell for North American DVD renters. The disc streets August 12th with deleted scenes, a torture featurette, an interview the writer and director, and a making-of doc.
There’s some pretty crappy low-res artwork for all three titles mentioned above floating around, we’re efforting to bring you a better look at them – so hang tight!
