A lil’ torture is on tap for this bash
Genre-friendly Filmax snatched up most international rights for Invitation Only.
Thriller is helmed by newcomer Kevin Ko and centers on five friends unexpectedly invited to an upscale party which turns out to be an invitation to torture and murder.
Now in post, and shot in Mandarin and English, Invitation Only is written by Carolyn Lin and Sung In and produced by Michelle Yeh. It will be presented this year at the Cannes Film Festival market
Best known for genre pics, such as Brad Anderson’s “Transsiberian” and Spanish zombie fest “REC,” now a remake at Screen Gems, Filmax has co-production and sales relationships with Mexico through Lemon Films, and has a minority stake in Pablo Bossi’s Pampa Films in Buenos Aires.
