Two actors to reprise their roles
It has been nearly a year since The Descent 2 first jumped onto our radar, now production entities Celador Films and Pathe are getting serious about making this baby happen.
According to THR, an eight week shoot is begin prepped with directing newcomer Jon Harris at helm. As previously reported, My Little Eye‘s James Watkins scripted the follow-up which is being marked with a $10 million budget.
Actresses Shauna MacDonald and Natalie Mendoza are encoring as Sarah and Juno, respectively. The film will also star Gavan O’Herlihy, Joshua Dallas, Anna Skellern, Douglas Hodge and Krysten Cummings. The plot finds MacDonald’s character returning to the cave system, populated with “Crawlers,” in an attempt to find her chums, alive or dead.
Shooting will take place in Scotland and London’s Ealing Studios.
