Tribeca run gives way to VOD release
IFC Entertainment has acquired North American rights to the Spanish thriller Fermat’s Room, which had its North American premiere at the Tribeca fest Friday.
Luis Piedrahita and Rodrigo Sopena’s feature debut tells the story of four mathematicians with checkered pasts who find themselves in a room where the walls are literally closing in on them. It will crush them if they do not discover in time what connects them all and why someone might wish to murder them.
The film will debut on IFC’s Festival Direct VOD platform this summer.
