Michael Stahl-David on Cloverfield 2

What is said at the end of the first film?

Warning: The first paragraph contains a spoiler regarding the end of the film.

ShockTillYouDrop.com spoke with Michael Stahl-David, star of Cloverfield this morning in anticipation of the film’s DVD release. During the chat, our conversation turned to the faint post-credits dialogue that might imply Rob and girlfriend Beth may live to see another day. “I think it’s: ‘Are you still there?’,” then, “‘I’m still here,” says Stahl-David. “That’s what it is.”

Should that be the case, has he heard any rumblings about the proposed Cloverfield 2? “I think they’re still trying to figure out how they’re going to pull it off,” the actor laughs. “They have some ideas they’re excited about but they’re really not sharing them with many people…and they’re not sharing them with me.”

He adds he would be surprised if Reeves and company asked him to return, “unless it was being glimpsed for a second by somebody else’s camera. And I think people have seen enough of me running around anyway.”

Cloverfield slams onto DVD April 22nd loaded with special features.
