25/8 Leading Role Goes to Thierot

Four new additions to Craven film

Henry Lee Hopper (son of Dennis) is out and Max Thierot (Jumper) is now the leading man of Wes Craven’s 25/8, the story of a serial killer stalking seven children born on the night of his death.

Mononucleosis is the cause of Hopper’s departure. “I saw [Thierot’s] audition, and he’s a talented guy, really flexible, which fulfills the needs of the role,” Craven tells THR.

Nick Lashaway (Bag Boy), John Magaro (The Brave One) and Paulina Olszynski are upping the film’s teen quotient. They join Denzel Whitaker, Shareeka Epps and Emily Meade. Raul Esparza (Pushing Daisies) is in talks to play the film’s killer.
