Sequel clues, symbols yield more questions
My, my, my… Paramount opened a can of words yesterday when press copies of the forthcoming Cloverfield DVD arrived in mailboxes (including ours). Before we get into some of the new clues and viral marketing that have cropped up because of this release, let’s take a quick look at the two alternate endings the disc presents.
Now, onto the speculation. A symbol (seen below) has been making the rounds on various Cloverfield sites – including Tagruato. This same symbol adorns the security sticker sealing the DVD and is accompanied by a “Property of the U.S. Government” stamp. What’s it mean? Beats us. Is it simply one more layer to this film’s secrets? It’s obviously a sword of sorts – what does the “410” stand for? Release date for Cloverfield 2, perhaps?
