Hardy’s Cowboys called home
Months, hell, a good year or two have past since Robin Hardy announced a follow-up to The Wicker Man entitled Cowboys for Christ. Casting rumors, delays, false starts and more rumors plagued the project until finally, this puppy was ready to ride.
This month, in fact. A cast was in place that included Christopher Lee and Joan Collins. Hardy seemed like he was in good shape.
But it appears his financial carpet has been pulled out from under him. According to The BBC, Cowboys is on hold due “to last minute difficulties with finance.” The pic was to begin shooting in areas around Scotland, namely Dumfries and Galloway.
According to a local council rep, the production company is attempting to shore up fresh funds to put Cowboys back in the saddle again.
