Butcher Bros.’ remake now shooting
The Butcher Bros. (Mitch Altieri, Phil Flores) have begun shooting their remake of Fred Walton’s 1986 film April Fool’s Day.
Josh Henderson (“Desperate Housewives”) and Taylor Cole star as rich siblings who throw a bash for their pal, played by Halloween‘s Scout Taylor-Compton. An accident, however, sets off a chain of events tha leave a high body count.
Sony’s Stage 6 (which we told you about here) will distribute. The Butchers penned the script with Mikey Wigart. “It’s pretty much contemporized, with off-beat humor, different settings – something that would jell with today’s audience,” says Flores.
