Courtesy of Fox Home Entertainment and director David Arquette, we have two TV spots for the DVD debut of politically-charged psycho-slasher film The Tripper for you to groove on. This release marks the end of a long journey for Arquette who premiered his horror opus before audiences a year ago at Screamfest. Since then, he has toured with the film taking it across the country on an independent theatrical run.
A nostalgic homage to the exploitation films of Wes Craven and Tobe Hooper the The Tripper follows a group of free-loving hippies who escape to a modern-day Woodstock for a weekend of debauchery, only to be stalked by a radical-minded psychopath with an eerie resemblance to the 40th President of the United States. Thomas Jane, Paul Reubens, Jaime King, Lukas Haas, Jason Mewes, Balthazar Getty and Chris Nelson star.
