Demon rock rules Hollywood
There are few VHS packages that held my fascination as a kid like the key art for 1988’s Black Roses. With its “raised” cover design, one could actually feel the eyes staring at you and you run your fingers along the guitar. It’s the reason why this heavy metal horror hybrid has a special place in my heart. I know, sometimes I’m too easy to please.
On September 25th, Synapse Films releases a Black Roses special edition DVD and, here in Hollywood, Dark Delicacies (4213 West Burbank Blvd.) is preparing to rock Burbank with a special in-store signing on October 6th.
Scheduled to attend: director John Fasano, writer Cindy Cirlie and actors Julie Adams (Creature from the Black Lagoon), Carmine Appice, Frank Dietz, Carla Ferrigno, and John Martin.
