Purchases Carter Blanchard spec
Carter Blanchard’s spec script Near Death has been acquired by Fox Searchlight. Producers Aaron Kaplan and Sean Perrone (You, Me and Dupree) of Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment are overseeing its development as well as Blanchard’s other horror flick Dead Asleep which is set up at New Line.
Searchlight’s Claudia Lewis and Jeremy Steckler are co-producing.
“Death” steeps itself in the world of near death experiences and is being described as a “psychological sci-fi thriller.”
