New CD captures Luckett’s works
If you’re going to play the part of a social misfit looking for love, you’re gonna need the proper soundtrack. Same goes for slipping into the shoes of a tool accessorizing maniac. Thanks to La-La Land Records, the tunes are here. The label who has given us a stunning array of horror soundtrack releases, from The Howling to Godzilla: 50th Anniversary, is now shipping “MAY And Other Selected Works of Jaye Barnes Luckett.”
This collection covers all of the composer’s work with director Lucky McKee, so you’ve got May and Sick Girl, the unused score for The Woods and Angela Bettis’ “May” companion piece Roman which stars McKee as the title character. Then there’s Luckett’s theme song for The Toolbox Murders: As It Was, a documentary on the making of Tobe Hooper’s The Toolbox Murders directed by Kevin Ford and Chris Sivertson (I Know Who Killed Me). The doc was passed over in the making of the Lionsgate DVD.
Only a 1000 of these discs were printed. For track listings and samples, click here.
