Director forms new production house
After rumors of looking to China for film financing, and to potentially get a new production arm off the ground, Brian Yuzna has returned to Spain to kick-start Amazing! Pictures. The business venture will help distribute films in that country (Greg McLean’s Rogue will be one picture) and launch three productions – two in Spanish, one in English. No word yet as to who’s behind these films and what they are about.
Yuzna, not long ago, left his place at Filmax’s Fantastic Factory, the Spanish genre house that produced Dagon, Beyond Re-Animator and, most recently, Beneath Still Waters. Amazing! is a joint effort between Yuzna’s Magic Lantern and Notro Films.
