Based on the animated horror short
The incredibly tiny pic you see to your left appeared over at Variety and slipped under our noses. Who you see there is actress Gianna Jun (a.k.a. Jun Ji-hyun) as Saya in the $35 million live-action version of Blood: The Last Vampire (read our last item here). Pic was flaunted at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and is expected in 2008.
Chris Nahon, who delivered the not-too-shabby Jet Li/Bridget Fonda action vehicle Kiss of the Dragon in 2001, directs from a script by Chris Chow. Nahon took over the project after Ronny Yu (Freddy vs. Jason) developed it for a spell, then departed.
Jun plays a vampire/demon killer working for a covert group who tracks down a bunch of vamps on a U.S. military base in Japan. Bill Kong (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) produces.
