J-horror power pair is back
Before – or after – he has a go at The Entity (read about that here) for Fox Atomic, it looks as if Hideo Nakata (The Ring Two) will be helming 20th Century Fox and Regency’s Inhuman.
The project, based on a pitch by Eric Heisserer, will reunite him with Ringu and Dark Water producer Taka Ichise. And we all know you can’t have something related to J-horror without the involvement of Vertigo Entertainment, so yes, Roy Lee and Doug Davison are co-producing.
Details are skimpy regarding the plot, but THR explains Heisserer’s story is based “loosely” on a Japanese murder case. The screenwriter’s official site doesn’t yield much information either, however, he admits the subject matter is deeply unsettling and nightmare-provoking.
