Giant monsters attack!
Media Blaster’s Shriek Show label is celebrating giant monster mayhem with their DVD release of Frankenstein Conquers the World (a.k.a. Frankenstein vs. Baragon). This two-disc presentation hits June 26th with the English-language “Conquers,” an international cut and a Japanese version both released under the “Baragon” moniker. All which reflect significantly varied running times, believe it or not.
Deleted scenes, an alternate ending, trailers, a photo gallery and additional international footage round out the package, but seriously, how much incentive do you need when you’ve got Ishiro Honda directing Nick Adams and a towering Frankenstein’s Monster (whose heart was found on a German sub after WWII – zoinks!) battling it out with the floppy-eared subterranean dog of the “Godzilla” universe, Baragon?
