In-production anthology Underneath offers a first look at some exclusive photos from the segment “Passages”
We already reported on the production of filmmaker and frequent STYD contributor John Nicol‘s (Glimpse, Channel Zero) ambitious new indie anthology horror movie Underneath, a gory, psychotronic shocker featuring six segments and a wraparound sequence. Nicol has written and directed a bulk of the film with contributing segments and bumpers from other guest directors.
We’ve already shared some exclusive photos from Nicol’s central story called 6AM and the wraparound, Breach, and a pack of pictures from the Euro-horror flavored segment I Can Change (directed by Secret Santa co-star and composer Andre Becker), in which an unstable young man becomes convinced that he can turn into a monster. Now we have some exclusive shots from another segment — directed by Nicol and Cory Ivanchuk — called Passages, starring Rebecca Kilburn and Brandon Schamerhorn. Becker does the score and SFX are by Shelby Perlinger of Cobra Cosmetics.
Synopsis: A has-been writer inadvertently discovers passages in his writing that can cause intense visions of madness and hell, or beauty and divinity…soon he discovers that he can inflict the visions upon others – but the truth is far more sinister…
Other segments Curiosity and Conversations (written by Nicol and directed by Cory Ivanchuk) and two untitled pieces will be shot later this year.
We’ll keep you posted on the production and reveal the trailer soon.
