Watch this exclusive bonus features clip from the new Blu-ray release of Jackie Kong’s Blood Diner
Our pal, beloved cult film director Jackie Kong has been keeping us in the loop about the resurrection of her signature film, the crazed, barf-tastic 1987 splatter comedy Blood Diner. That wild and perverse horror comedy has not only been taken on the road as a traveling screening circus, it’s also coming to Blu-ray for the first time via Lionsgate’s new Vestron Video Collector’s Series imprint, a line of classic genre films from the venerable VHS company’s library, newly remastered in HD and armed with a wealth of mind-melting extras.
Blood Diner’s Vestron Video Collector’s Series Blu-ray will be available for the suggested retail price of $39.99 on September 27 and includes a full commentary with Kong as well as the following features:
“Queen Kong”
“The Cook, The Uncle, and The Detective”
“Open for Business”
“Scoring for Sheetar!”
“You Are What They Eat”
Archival Interview with Project Consultant Eric Caidin
Theatrical Trailer
TV Spots
Still Gallery
To tide you over until you get your mitts on your own copy of Blood Diner, we have an exclusive clip from one of the features to share, a little lesson on Blood Diner’s lineage and direct ties to “Godfather of Gore” H.G. Lewis’ original splatter classic Blood Feast.
