Since Johnson’s Ted joined the series this year, his sudden recasting has left many wondering about the reason behind it. For the unversed, Ted is an excellent plastic surgeon and also husband to Dr. Nicole Dupree. The character Ted has seemingly excelled in his professional and personal lives on Beyond the Gates. He reportedly graduated from Tuskegee University and eventually became an outstanding surgeon. It seems he is the kind of surgeon whom patients trust blindly. He met his life partner, Nicole during National Medical Association Conference. He lives an ideal life but occasionally also faces loss and intense challenges. For instance, he grieved his brother Stan, who died in a plane crash.

Robinson will appear as Ted in Beyond the Gates episodes in May.
