Yes, High Potential has been renewed for Season 2.
Season 1 has a total of 13 episodes, and its finale titled “Let’s Play” aired on February 11, 2025. Fans were hopeful for more episodes of the show as they felt the season ended soon after returning from its winter break. There has been a recent trend of streaming platforms like Netflix dividing its show’s seasons into two or three parts. While this one went for a mid-season break to return later, it doesn’t seem to have more parts.
Further, fans were wondering the reason behind the show ending with just 13 episodes despite good reception. This was due to the lead actress Kaitlin Olson’s schedule. As per TV Insider‘s Matt Roush, Olson was committed to shooting for the FX comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia Season 17 where she plays the role of “Sweet Dee” Reynolds. Season 17 is all set to premiere in June 2025.
While fans grew concerned for the future of High Potential, speculating it might get canceled, the good news is the show is not going anywhere. High Potential was renewed for a second installment in January 2025 ahead of Season 1’s finale. It is expected to have more number of episodes compared to the first season. Recently, Olson provided an update for Season 2. She stated:
“I just wrapped Hacks… yeah so season four just finished, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia… I finished the end of last year – Season 17 is coming out… in the spring, I believe. And I’m gonna go home and be a mum for a couple months and then we start shooting this again in May.” (via Collider)
