Who Is Playing Adam in Daredevil: Born Again?

Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again has mentioned a mysterious character named Adam a few times in the show, sparking curiosity among fans. The role is played by a versatile actor known for his stints in shows like Netflix’s You and Apple TV+’s Physical.

But who is Adam, and why is he at the center of Wilson Fisk’s wrath? Here’s a breakdown of all the details and more.

Who plays Daredevil: Born Again’s Adam?

Lou Taylor Pucci, who fans would recognize as the tortured hipster in Netflix’s You, has joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Adam in Daredevil: Born Again.

For those unaware, he first gained attention for his award-winning performance in Thumbsucker, which earned him accolades at Sundance and the Berlin Film Festival. Pucci has since appeared in projects like Evil Dead, American Horror Story, Netflix’s You, Shameless, and Halt and Catch Fire. In Born Again, Pucci steps into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Adam, a character whose presence shakes the already fragile relationship between Wilson Fisk (Kingpin) and Vanessa.

Why was Wilson Fisk holding Adam captive in Daredevil: Born Again?

Adam’s story is tied to betrayal in Daredevil: Born Again. While Wilson Fisk was recovering from being shot by Maya Lopez (Echo), Vanessa took charge of his criminal empire. During this time, she began an affair with Adam. When Fisk discovers the truth, Vanessa asks him not to kill Adam. Fisk agrees, but his version of mercy is far from kind.

In Episode 4 of Daredevil: Born Again, it’s revealed that Fisk has been keeping Adam locked away in a hidden basement cell. Despite claiming to have turned over a new leaf, Fisk’s actions tell a different story. By holding Adam captive and subjecting him to brutal treatment, Fisk reveals that he hasn’t truly abandoned his violent ways. All in all, Fisk’s decision to keep Adam alive; albeit in horrific conditions, shows his twisted sense of loyalty to Vanessa, as he technically honors her request while still satisfying his darker instincts.
