Kim Kardashian‘s most treasured jewelry escaped the 2016 Paris robbery thanks to her then-husband Kanye West‘s foresight. According to Kardashian’s account, it was Ye’s stern advice that made her keep the engagement at home and not take it while traveling.

Reality TV diva Kim Kardashian is candid about Kanye West‘s contribution in helping her save her engagement ring. According to the 44-year-old socialite, West advised against Kardashian flaunting her two expensive engagement rings at the same time.
For the uninitiated, Kardashian received two special engagement rings from Ye. The TV star explained in the latest episode of The Kardashians, “My first one that I got engaged to Kanye [with] was a cushion cut, and that was the only piece of jewelry I owned that I didn’t take to Paris” (via PEOPLE).
The reason behind Kardashian not taking the engagement ring was simple. Before her trip to Paris, she’d attended an event at Madison Square Garden with jeweler Lorraine Schwartz. In the event, Kardashian flaunted her first engagement ring and a second one that she’d recently received. The TV star also showed off the bling of her rings on Instagram.
Her former husband did not like her wearing both the multimillion-worth of rings together. Kim recalled Ye’s warning for her. “Kanye saw it, and he goes, ‘Don’t you ever wear both of your rings at the same time. Are you looking to get robbed?'”
West’s eerie premonition became reality when armed thieves reportedly broke into Kardashian’s Paris hotel room in October 2016 (via PEOPLE). Five men disguised as police forced their way through a service door, threatening staff before binding Kardashian and locking her in the bathroom. The terrifying ordeal cost her two phones and around $10 million in jewelry. The lost jewelry included her stunning $4 million ring.
However, Kardashian is happy to have her original ring and plans to hand it over to her oldest child. “That one, I’m gonna give to Northy, because she was with me when I got engaged. She held it after, and I took a photo, and she was just, like, a few months old,” The KKW Beauty Owner said in the aforementioned episode.
