Tonight’s broadcast began by depicting the arrival of several stars to the venue. Comedian and actor Andrew Schulz was in the arena as a guest of WWE, promoting his Netflix special, Life, which is currently streaming on the platform. “Main Event” Jey Uso took to the ring amidst favorable chants from the audience and had the first match of the night against Grayson Waller. The other bouts that happened tonight were The New Day vs. The LWO, Raquel Rodriguez vs. Bayley for the No. 1 Contender’s spot for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, and a steel cage match between CM Punk and Seth Rollins.
This episode also features segments from Cody Rhodes, IYO SKY, and more. Additionally, Schulz participated in a segment with Logan Paul and AJ Styles.
Jey Uso vs. Grayson Waller w/ Austin Theory
Jey Uso won comfortably against Grayson Waller via pinfall. Afterward, Austin Theory attacked Jey, but the latter even succeeded in fending off both him and Waller. This is when World Heavyweight Champion Gunther appeared behind Jey and placed him on a sleeper hold, rendering the other man unconscious.
The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) vs. The LWO (Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee)
The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) won their bout against The LWO (Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee) via pinfall but it was not a clean win. A mysterious masked luchador attacked The LWO and was later revealed to be Chad Gable.
Raquel Rodriguez w/ Liv Morgan and “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio vs. Bayley
Rachel Rodriguez triumphed over Bayley with some help from Liv Morgan and “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio and secured the No. 1 Contender’s spot for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship for herself.
Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk
Seth Rollins and CM Punk had an exceptional and brutal steel cage match tonight. Ultimately, Roman Reigns returned and got Rollins out of the cage to beat him up. However, this inadvertently made Rollins the winner. Reigns then spotted Paul Heyman with Punk and attacked the latter. Afterward, he raised his hand as the night came to an end.
