It appears that Justin Baldoni‘s father, Sam Baldoni, has come out in support of his son in his ongoing feud with Blake Lively. Baldoni Sr. recently took to his Instagram Story and posted a video of a bulletin board purportedly targeting both Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, as per reports. However, the post seems to be no longer available on his Instagram page.
What did Justin Baldoni’s father share on Instagram?
Sam Baldoni, 61, reportedly posted a video of a bulletin board on his Instagram Story. The board reads, “In a world full of Blakes and Ryans, be a Justin,” and comprises a photo collage and news clippings about Baldoni. It also features words such as “compassionate,” “supportive,” and “honest” as descriptions of the director of It Ends With Us. The video is set against an audio clip from Baldoni’s podcast saying “thank you” to his wife, Emily Foxler.
Currently, the post seems absent from Sam Baldoni’s Instagram Story, but the original video can still be watched on @jennybenners‘ TikTok page.
Baldoni and Lively collaborated on the project It Ends With Us. Besides directing, Baldoni played Ryle Kincaid in the movie. Meanwhile, Lively portrayed the protagonist, Lily Bloom. The movie debuted in U.S. theaters on August 9, 2024. During the movie’s marketing campaign, Lively drew criticism for what was constituted as a “tone-deaf” attitude.
In December 2024, Lively approached the California Civil Rights Department to file a complaint against Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios. She accused the Jane the Virgin actor of sexual harassment and retaliation. After The New York Times published an article in the same month claiming Baldoni and others had employed crisis management experts to negatively influence Lively’s reputation, Baldoni subsequently filed a $250 million lawsuit against the publication.
In the same month, Lively also sued Baldoni, bringing forth the same accusations she mentioned in her filing with the California Civil Rights Department complaint. In January 2025, Baldoni’s legal team filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, Reynolds, and their publicist, Leslie Sloane.
