Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s whirlwind romance reportedly began earlier than fans anticipated, according to the NFL star’s neighbor. Reality TV personality Wes Bergmann, a resident of the same community as Kelce, has shared a detail about the duo’s love story.

Travis Kelce’s neighbor has claimed that Taylor Swift’s romantic entanglement with Kelce began months before their first public appearance. Wes Bergmann said he knew about the duo’s romance before the world got to know about them.
Wes Bergmann shared in the RHAP Podcast, “I was like the first person to know about any of this stuff…I beat the validating of [Swift] showing up to [Kelce’s] games and stuff by six months.”
Bergmann also gushed about the duo’s dynamic personalities. Speaking of Kelce, the Reality TV star said, “He’s an enigma—on one hand, he’s like this big, tough football player,” and now “he’s going to have about 12 Taylor Swift songs written about him.” He also shared that he tried to convince podcast host Michele Fitzgerald a long time ago that Kelce and Swift were “together,” but “she didn’t believe it.”
Meanwhile, Swift made her first public appearance at Travis Kelce’s match in September 2023 at Arrowhead Stadium. Months before that, the NFL star had put Swift “on blast” at his podcast, New Heights. In July 2023, Travis Kelce talked about his experience attending the Eras Tour concert. He told his brother and co-host, Jason Kelce, that he wanted to meet the Grammy-winning singer after her concert.
The 35-year-old revealed, “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings.” He added, “So I was a little butt-hurt, I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.” (via BuzzFeed)
Later, Swift confessed how the duo actually ended up meeting pretty soon after Kelce’s public complaint against the “Bad Blood” crooner. Swift told TIME, “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell.”
“We started hanging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for,” she added.
