Colin Jost’s SNL Joke Pokes Fun at Blake Lively & Justin Baldoni Drama

Colin Jost took a sharp jab at the ongoing tensions between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni during SNL’s Weekend Update. While discussing a political headline on Weekend Update, he slipped in a pointed remark about the controversy surrounding It Ends With Us. The unexpected joke quickly caught the attention of viewers. Now, many are eager to know what exactly he said.

In this article, we will delve into the details of Jost’s joke about Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni on SNL.

What did Colin Jost say about Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni?

Colin Jost took a swipe at the ongoing legal battle between It Ends With Us co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni during SNL’s Weekend Update segment. While discussing President Donald Trump’s tense exchange with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Jost joked that Zelenskyy trying to save his relationship with Trump was like Baldoni hoping to work with Lively again.

Jost said, “Zelenskyy was asked to leave the White House. Then he appeared on Fox News and said he thinks he can still salvage his relationship with President Trump, which is like Justin Baldoni saying, ‘I’d love to work with Blake again.’” The remark quickly caught viewers’ attention, adding fuel to the already widely discussed controversy.

The legal dispute between Lively and Baldoni began last year. Lively filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment and retaliation. In response, Baldoni countersued her and Ryan Reynolds, alleging defamation and extortion. Both have denied the allegations, with each claiming the other is attempting to damage their reputation.

Jost’s joke came shortly after Reynolds subtly addressed the situation during SNL’s 50th-anniversary special. When asked how things were going, Reynolds humorously responded, “Great! Why? What have you heard?” The moment sparked widespread discussion. Later, Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, later criticized Reynolds’ SNL joke. He argued that allegations of sexual harassment should not be treated as a joke.
