Travis Kelce Confirms Return to Kansas City Chiefs for Another Season

Travis Kelce, Kansas City Chiefs tight end and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, confirmed his return for the 2025 season in a February 27 text to The Pat McAfee Show, dismissing retirement speculation after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl LIX loss.

“I’m coming back for sure,” Kelce stated (via ESPN), adding that he aims to be in the “best shape” of his career during the offseason. He also expressed his disappointment in the Super Bowl outcome, saying, “Got a real bad taste in my mouth with how I played in that last game… I can’t go out like that!!!!”

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes had previously stated uncertainty about Kelce’s return. However, with this announcement, Kelce is set to play another season.

Frank Meyer Draws Inspiration from Taylor Swift for New Single

Punk rocker Frank Meyer drew inspiration from Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off for his new single, Blue Radio, released on February 18 ahead of his debut solo album Living Between the Lines (out March 25, 2025, via Kitten Robot.)

“I gave myself a songwriting challenge: to see if I could write a song in the vein of Taylor Swift,” Meyer said, though he described the final sound as “Amy Winehouse by way of Cheap Trick” (via The Rockpit).

The music video, which he directed, continues the storyline from Baby Dynamite and incorporates surreal elements inspired by John Waters and David Lynch.

Chiefs’ Coach Andy Reid Praises Taylor Swift Amid Super Bowl Controversy

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid defended Taylor Swift on Pro Football Talk (Feb. 26) after Eagles fans booed her at Super Bowl LIX, saying, “She’s a good girl, she handles that whole thing the right way.” He also praised Kelce for handling the media attention well.

This isn’t the first time Reid has commented on Swift’s presence within the Chiefs organization. In a 2024 interview, he mentioned that Swift endeared herself to the team by making homemade Pop-Tarts for the offensive linemen. “She knew right where to go,” Reid joked.
