Nikki Glaser recently shared why she avoids approaching Taylor Swift, even when they are in the same room.
Speaking on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, the comedian admitted that despite being a devoted Swift fan, she refrains from contacting the singer at events. Glaser explained that she chose not to engage with the singer at the ceremony, believing Swift already deals with enough people seeking her attention. She described her approach as “almost rude,” as she deliberately avoids making eye contact when they are in the same room.
Despite being encouraged by others to introduce herself, Glaser believes it would not be appropriate. She explained that Swift already deals with numerous interactions at such events and does not need another person seeking her attention. The comedian further said, “Of course she would be so nice. I know exactly how it would go down.”
She jokingly added that she would rather let Swift focus on making great music than take up her time with a brief, polite conversation. Glaser said, “That’s what I don’t want, her to make a less great song ‘cause she had to be like, ‘Nice to meet you,’ and hold me as I’m crying. No, we don’t need that. I can’t bother her.”
The FBoy Island host recently also hosted the 2025 Golden Globe Awards. She admitted that being around celebrities at major events often leaves her feeling disheartened. She was also nominated for Best Comedy Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
