What did Chelsea Handler say about Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni?
Chelsea Handler has once again aimed the ongoing legal dispute between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, urging them to put an end to the drama.
Speaking with Page Six recently, the comedian criticized how both parties continue to fuel the controversy. Handler said, “The reason it’s such a frenzy is that they keep releasing more and more stuff. Stop it! You’re not helping yourself.” The comedian further compared the legal battle between Baldoni and Lively to a “fight in a schoolyard playground.” She said, “It’s like, ‘Don’t they know to stop?’ Isn’t someone saying, ‘Stop it!’?’”
This isn’t the first time Handler has joked about the situation. While hosting the 2025 Critics Choice Awards on February 7, she joked about the controversy, sarcastically thanking Lively and Baldoni for providing a distraction during difficult times. She added that regardless of which side people supported, it seemed unlikely that a sequel would happen. Handler said. “I think everybody in this room, no matter whose side you’re on, we can all agree to accept that there’s probably not going to be a sequel.”
The legal battle began in December when Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and workplace retaliation. In January, Baldoni countersued, claiming defamation and extortion, naming Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their publicist in the lawsuit. Both sides declined court mediation, setting the stage for a trial in March 2026.
