Daniel Bisogno passes away, claims report

Daniel Bisogno, Mexican television host and actor, has passed away at the age of 51.

The news was confirmed by Ventaneando, the TV Azteca program where he worked for decades. “It is with deepest sadness that we regret to report news we never wanted to give: our beloved Daniel Bisogno has just passed away due to complications he suffered after the liver transplant he underwent last September,” read the statement on Ventaneando’s Instagram profile (via Deadline).

Bisogno battled serious health issues in recent years. Doctors hospitalized him multiple times in 2023, diagnosing him with esophageal varicose veins, a rectal fissure, and COVID-19. In early 2024, he returned to the hospital with a pulmonary infection.

He underwent a liver transplant in September 2024 but faced severe complications. His brother, Alejandro Bisogno, revealed on the TV Azteca show on February 12 that Daniel was “very delicate.”

Bisogno had been a staple of Mexican television since joining Ventaneando in 1997. Known for his sharp humor and outspoken personality, he became one of the show’s most recognizable figures.

Despite his health struggles, he remained optimistic and participated remotely in Ventaneando’s 29th anniversary celebration, telling his co-hosts, “These 29 years have been wonderful in life… The best thing is a life that has given me everything, both good and bad.”

Colleagues and industry figures paid tribute to Daniel Bisogno after his death. His longtime co-host, Pati Chapoy, wrote, “With immense sadness, I inform you that Daniel Bisogno died.” Grupo Salinas VP Benjamín Salinas stated, “He will always be remembered with great affection by the entire Azteca family.”

Journalist Juan José Origel recalled, “Many don’t know, but Daniel started working with me on my radio show.” Aurora Valle shared, “I’m invaded by memory and nostalgia, but above all great sadness… Muñe, rest in peace.”

Bisogno has left behind his brother and his eight-year-old daughter, Michaela.
