In a recent interview, Lady Gaga provided an update on the status of Telephone Part 2—the long-anticipated continuation of her and Beyoncé’s iconic music video collaboration. She also addressed whether Beyoncé would return for the sequel. The original music video was released nearly 15 years ago.
Here’s what we know about Lady Gaga’s Telephone Part 2.

Lady Gaga confirmed that Telephone Part 2 was still coming out.
She nervously responded “yes” when Vanity Fair asked her if Telephone would “ever be continued” during their lie detector test. For context, the original music video, released in 2010, ended with the message “To be continued.”
However, when asked about a possible release timeframe, the Poker Face singer admitted she didn’t know.
When the interviewer showed Lady Gaga a picture of Beyoncé and asked if she would return for Telephone: second part, Gaga replied with “maybe.” The interviewer then confirmed, “You’re being truthful.”
Furthermore, Gaga denied that scheduling conflicts with the Texas Hold’Em singer were causing delays in Telephone Part 2’s release.
Gaga had earlier addressed the chances of Telephone Part 2 in a 2024 interview with Entertainment Tonight. “You know what if… whenever Beyonce calls I would like to pick up the phone,” Gaga responded when asked about the possibility.
This came in the wake of fan theories about Telephone Part 2’s release, which began circulating in February 2024. These speculations were sparked by Beyoncé’s Act II teaser on Instagram, which hinted at the second act of her Renaissance trilogy — later revealed to be Cowboy Carter. In the teaser, Beyoncé was seen driving a yellow car resembling the one she drove in Telephone.
