Drake Throws Slipper at Drone Spying On His Australia Penthouse

A new viral video of Drake throwing a slipper at a drone spying on his Australia penthouse has emerged online. This incident has sparked intrigue and curiosity amongst fans, who are wondering whether the “Hotline Bling” rapper’s privacy was ambushed or whether the whole scenario was staged and he was aware of what the drone would do. Drake is currently in Australia for his Anita Max Win tour, which is also expected to take place in New Zealand.

So, here are all the details fans need to know about the rapper’s recent drone incident in Australia.

Drake drone incident in Australia explained

A recently viral video captured a bizarre incident at the 38-year-old rapper’s penthouse in Australia.

The aforementioned clip showed a laptop with a gambling site open, and a glass containing a beverage on the table from the drone’s perspective, as it slowly tracked back. While this was happening, Drake came out of his room and spotted the drone with a surprised face.

The rapper quickly picked up a slipper from the floor and performed a threatening gesture toward the drone. He eventually threw the footwear at it, but unfortunately, it missed, as Drake did not properly aim towards the drone. The slipper then flew out of the penthouse into the street below. The camera immediately fully tracked back and exited the premises, capturing the exterior of Drake’s Australia penthouse and eventually the entire city.

The video soon invited all kinds of reactions from fans online, some of whom pointed out and mocked Drake’s bad aim. “How is he that bad throwing,” one fan wrote on X(formerly Twitter). “Possibly the most pathetic throw I’ve ever witnessed,” stated another fan.

Meanwhile, many fans speculated that the incident was a staged one and was some kind of advertisement. Some of them even provided evidence of a drone operator to back their claims.

It is currently uncertain if the drone incident has anything to do with promotions of Drake’s new album with PartyNextDoor, titled $ome $exy $ongs 4 U. However, the rapper has in the past done some unconventional things to promote his albums.

In 2022, Drake made and uploaded a fake interview with Howard Stern on his show to promote his album, Her Loss. Additionally, he and 21 Savage also delivered a fake SNL performance of “On BS” as part of the promotions. Here, the two even had Michael B. Jordan introduce them.
