Describing the experience, she told People, “There’s really no one funnier to sit next to than Marty Short, who I got to sit next to at the homecoming concert the other night.”
Schumer further playfully hinted at the ongoing rumors about Short and Streep’s relationship status, teasing, “I think that the tea is, I think Marty might be off the market. That’s what I’m seeing. I don’t know.” While the Kinda Pregnant actress didn’t explicitly name Meryl Streep, her comments seemingly left little to the imagination. She quipped that Martin Short could be taken “maybe by just like the greatest actor of our time. I don’t know.”
