Accordingly, fans have been wondering whether there was any truth to these rumors.
Here is everything that’s currently known about the rumors of Jon Lindstrom’s exit from General Hospital after his Beyond the Gates casting.
Is Jon Lindstrom leaving General Hospital?
Jon Lindstrom is not confirmed to be leaving General Hospital.
Moreover, Lindstrom has not addressed how his new role on Beyond the Gates will affect his role on General Hospital. The creators of General Hospital have also not issued any official statements addressing Lindstrom’s General Hospital involvement in the wake of his Beyond the Gates casting.
In Beyond the Gates, Lindstrom will play the role of Joey Armstrong. Lindstrom has described Armstrong as “a bit of an entrepreneur” and a casino owner, also adding that although Armstrong dislikes trouble, he knows how to handle it. (via Michael Fairman TV)
Lindstrom had joined the series primarily because of his admiration for Michele Val Jean, the series’ showrunner, who he credited for his successful Ryan Chamberlain/Kevin Collins storyline on General Hospital. “Everybody knows that Michele is the best writer in the business,” he added. “They may not want to admit it, especially if they’re another writer, but she is the very best in the business.”
The actor had previously praised Val Jean and congratulated her on her involvement in the series as showrunner last month via Instagram.
Lindstrom is not the only soap opera veteran joining Beyond the Gates. His ex-wife, Cady McClain, best known for her roles in All My Children, Days of Our Lives, and As the World Turns, will also be a part of the upcoming project. McClain will play the role of Pamela Curtis. McClain has described her character as “a dear old friend” of Karla Mosey’s Dani Dupree.
