CBS’ Beyond the Gates has found new talents to join its cast in the form of veterans Jon Lindstrom and Cady McClain. Created by Michele Val Jean, Beyond the Gates is a brand-new soap that is set to debut on February 24, 2025. The daily soap will then be available for fans to watch on weekdays at 2 PM ET and 1 PM PT on the CBS network.
Which new actors are joining Beyond the Gates’ cast?
According to a report by TVLine, Jon Lindstrom and Cady McClain are joining the cast of CBS’ Beyond the Gates, which will debut on Monday on the network.
The outlet further disclosed that the General Hospital actor is set to portray the role of Joey Armstrong, while the All My Children actress will play the character of Pamela Curtis on the new soap. In a recent interview with TV Insider, McClain expressed her excitement to join the CBS soap opera and stated she was “thrilled to be a part of this incredible cast.”
The actress further added, “It’s such a beautiful production and such amazing actors, and I have the great pleasure of getting to work a great deal with Karla (Mosley).”
Lindstrom conveyed that creator Michele Val Jean’s involvement was the motivation for him to join the show. He told TV Insider, “Everybody knows that Michele is the best writer in the business, and they don’t want to admit it, especially if they’re another writer, but she is the very best in the business.”
Apart from Jon Lindstrom and Cady McClain, the stars who were already announced to be part of the Beyond the Gates cast are Karla Mosley (Dani Dupree), Tamara Tunie (Anita Dupree), Clifton Davis (Vernon Dupree), and Daphnée Duplaix (Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson).
As per Variety, the soap revolves around “one the most affluent African American counties in the United States” through the Duprees who reside in a Maryland suburb.
