Captain America 4 has hit theaters and fans are eager to know which characters didn’t make it to the final cut and were deleted from the movie. The new film features Sam Wilson, carrying on Steve Rogers’ Captain America legacy. He confronts newly elected U.S. President Thaddeus Ross and is soon embroiled in an international incident. He now has to find out the mastermind behind this global conspiracy. While some interesting cameos were featured, others were not.

Here are the characters that didn’t make it into the final version of the movie.

List of all characters deleted from Captain America 4: Brave New World’s final cut

Seth Rollins’ Serpent Society member

Director Julius Onah revealed that Rollins was initially cast as a member of the Serpent Society, in an interview with ComicBook. He noted that the problem with adapting his character directly from the comics was that it had a snake appearance and powers, which did not align with the movie’s tone.

He attempted to determine “the version that totally works best in a movie like this.” However, due to changes in production, they went with an alternate choice. While praising Rollins, he highlighted how Giancarlo Esposito’s availability prompted them to pursue Sidewinder as a villain.

Rosa Salazar’s Rachel Leighton/Diamondback

She is best known for her roles in NBC’s Parenthood, Alita: Battle Angel,  American Horror Story: Murder House, and Brand New Cherry Flavor. While Rollins’ character was cut, a reliable source alleged that Salazar’s Diamondback was still set to make a debut. These rumors were further solidified by test screenings. However, in the final output, her character was ultimately removed.

Logan Kim’s Amadeus Cho

Kim is known for appearing as the character Podcast in the rebooted Ghostbusters movies. Industry scooper Daniel Richtman posted on X (formerly Twitter) about Kim’s appearance in the MCU back in October 2024. He was known to be cast as Amadeus Cho in the franchise. However, he does not appear in the final version of the film.

Elijah Richardson’s Eli Bradley

Former Marvel Studios VP Nate Moore revealed that Richardson’s Eli was a part of the early drafts in a conversation with Screen Rant. However, he didn’t make it to the final cut as they felt there were many characters to keep track of. Also, they wanted to make sure that if a character is included, “they have something to do.” Therefore, they deleted his character.
