The 63-year-old, who gained worldwide recognition for portraying a fictional version of himself in the ABC sitcom George Lopez, will be drawing curtains on his stand-up career with his upcoming and final special, Muy Católico. As such, Lopez joined Hudson on her talk show to promote his comedy special. However, fans were quick to notice a drastic change in his appearance as he made his way to the show’s set.
George Lopez looks unrecognizable for Jennifer Hudson Show
In an Instagram video shared by The Jennifer Hudson Show’s official account, Lopez is seen dancing his way to where Hudson was stationed to the tunes of “Low Rider.” The Blue Beetle actor exited the dressing room in a cheery mood and joined a hoard of Hudson’s staff as they danced in the corridor. The team in the background sang the opening theme of his titular sitcom as Lopez twirled.
Nevertheless, George Lopez’s updated look ended up becoming the stand-out feature. The veteran artist sported a rugged appearance, complete with long grey hair that reached his shoulder. As such, fans were quick to point out the modifications in Lopez’s look.
Under the Instagram post, one user praised his new look and wrote, “Almost didn’t recognize him with the long hair,” adding a fire and heart emojis along with the comment. Meanwhile, fellow comedian Tony Baker complimented Lopez’s hairstyle, stating, “His hair is dope.”

Filmed in September 2024 at Los Angeles’ Dolby Theatre, George Lopez’s forthcoming comedy special, Muy Católico, comes out on Prime Video on February 18.
